Welcome to the Ascent Church

We are so glad you’ve taken a few minutes to check out Ascent Church. We know how overwhelming it can be finding a church home. We hope the information here will be helpful to getting to know a little of who we are and we look forward to getting to know you.

WELCOME HOME

If this is your first time at Ascent Church, welcome! When you arrive, our team will help you find a parking spot, inside you can grab a complimentary cup of coffee and donuts, and we’ll be there to help you find a seat if you need it. In the service you will experience dynamic worship music, hear stories of real life change through video and other special elements, and receive an uplifting message of hope that is centered on God’s Word.

FAMILIES

We want your children to experience The Ascent Church in an exciting way too, which is why we have created a high-energy Ascent Kids service (for pre-K through fifth graders) where they will hear a Christ centered story through an interactive message that is specifically tailored to them. We also have excellent nursery care for children six weeks to pre-Kindergarten.

Common Questions

WHAT ARE YOUR WEEKEND SERVICES LIKE?

Each weekend at Ascent Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant, Biblical message. You’ll also find a printed outline for sermon notes that will help you make the most of each week’s teaching. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled Ascent Kids service.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES?

The Ascent Church is pretty casual. Come in what is comfortable for you, because church is not about what you look like or what you wear.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED, AND WHEN DO YOU MEET?

The Ascent Church is located at 1750 Deer Creek Road, Monument CO. We meet in person and online Sundays at 10:00 AM, with many other events happening throughout the week.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?

At Ascent Church your children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children’s ministry called Ascent Kids as well as a life-changing Student Ministry. You can read more about how we are keeping your children safe here.

HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?

There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending Ascent 101. Base Camps, (what we call our “small groups”) are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.

HOW CAN I BE DISCIPLED AND GROW?

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our Ascent 101 class offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. Check out our event page for the next available Ascent 101 class – or register HERE.

WHAT ARE BASE CAMPS?

Base Camps are an important part of the Ascent Church. In fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced community in smaller groups. Base Camps allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As Ascent Church grows, Base Camps allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you.  Click HERE for a list of available Base Camps, and to interact with our “self-selection process” to get connected.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A BASE CAMP?

One of the easiest things to do at Ascent Church is to participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout the Monument and Colorado Springs area and provide a place for connection, Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there’s a small group near you. Check out our online directory and visit a group this week.
