Ascent Kids

At Ascent Kids we love your children like Jesus loves them. We want to see them come to know how much Jesus loves them and develop a relationship with Him. At Ascent Kids, we teach your children who Jesus is, what it means to walk with Him, and the amazing truths that are in the Bible. We laugh, have fun, and share our joy all within a safe and encouraging environment.
Our Ascent Kids program is offered every Sunday at 9am and 10:45am. Your kids will learn more about Jesus through object lessons, dramas, science experiments, woodworking, special crafts, and art projects. Our Elevate (5th/6th grade) class focuses on developing a biblical worldview through testimonies, mission highlights, and fun activities.
We work to help your children see how the gospel can impact their lives by encouraging leaders to share answers to prayer, personal stories, real (age-appropriate) struggles, and how we can have hope because of Jesus.

What to Expect
At The Ascent Church we create and write our own curriculum with God's Word as the foundation. We want the Bible to come alive for our kids, and we are intentional about creating exciting formats to help the kids understand God's Truth and to see how God's Truth applies to their lives. It is always an adventure in our classrooms with dramas, object lessons, reenactments of the Bible, science experiments, edible activities, woodworking, special crafts, worship, and lots of surprises. Our Elevate Class (4th and 5th grader) focuses on helping the children develop a Biblical Worldview as well as exciting fun activities. Our goal is to develop relationships with the kids and to see the real-life impact of Jesus and the good news of the gospel in their lives. We want our kids to become more like Jesus and live in His hope and freedom.
Check In:
An Ascent Kids volunteer will be at the desk to help you check-in. When you’ve completed the check-in process you will receive two tags – one for your child to wear and one for you. Please keep your tag with you as you will use it to pick your child/children after the service. For security, we do not allow anyone to pick up children without a matching tag.
Once you have registered, you will receive a weekly registration link which you can use to register your child for Ascent Kids ahead of time. We also offer a mobile check-in where you can check-in when you arrive using the last four digits of your phone number to print out your tags.

Safety and Security
Before ever serving in Ascent Kids, all volunteers are required to complete a background check, extensive interview, and a thorough Ascent Kids application. Each classroom is required to have two leaders at all times for security purposes when children are present. The Ascent Security Team performs continual safety and security checks during the entire time children are present on campus and in classrooms. Parents are required to check children in through our secure system and present their claim ticket upon picking up their children at the end of service. In the event of a lost claim ticket, the parent will be required to show their ID. Fall Festival
Mark your calendar for our first annual Fall Festival on Wed., Oct. 30 from 5-7pm! The Ascent Church will be filled with fun, food, and games for the whole family. Dinner will be available for $5 per person-either chili and cornbread or a hotdog and chips. Both come with a drink. Invite your friends and neighbors. Please donate candy in the lobby!
